ethereal embrace

a savage rhapsody,
wrapped in velvet rage
clutches my throat
pressing and squeezing
incandescent tears trickle,
steaming
the husks of fractured souls
flicker ... flutter -- iridescent,
a sea of ethereal flotsom
wistfully embracing the mystery
