incandescent kisses

image: flickr creative commons

desolate --
my labyrinth of light
entombed in an icey sepulchre
of hubris - mine own
rueful in my solitude

i bare -
submit self
to self
naked and pulsing
and tendrils of truth
lick my raw soul

my fingers caress
each blemish edge,
gently trace the curves
of each imperfection's
descending slopes

savouring each scar,
tasting the bitterness
of each stain,
smelling the decay
of each mistake

wholly bare,
an unchained melody
amidst a sparkling,
incandescent shower
of sun-kissd moonlight
