submission

submission -
sweet, sublime
like the delicate, glistening fruit
that emerges,
raw and rubicund,
from the heart
of its throbbing, splitting flower petals

surrender -
a silken scream,
from the desiccated depths of her soul,
impaled,
on the silent spires
of a velvet raven night

submittere -
latin - meaning send under
yielding oneself -
relinquished! -
to powerful certitude:
this dark and soothing guiding force

submission -
trembling hungry hearts,
starving
for acceptance-approval-affection;
pulsing orbs of adoration
tumbling, a gossamer spectacle

ABOUT THIS POEM: i am always fascinated by the submissive-dominant power dynamic. i tried, in this piece, to describe submission, poetically ... to pay sort of tribute to submission.
