cerebral burn

the flames of anger
crackle and spit
deep in the bowels
of my soul

my spirit searing
my psyche, sizzling
billions of synapses,
stinging

an effervescent rage
a cerebral scorch
dissecation
a voracious, hungry fire

a trail of charred husks
strewn in its wake
raw, pulsing flesh -
scarred and singed

ABOUT THIS POEM: the way it feels to have rage sit on your heart. and press down. rage scalds the heart and soul. it hurts far more to feel it than it ever could to receive it. i find that NO ONE GETS THIS.
